How to reach BuyShears.com — corrections, technical questions and guide suggestions welcome. We do not accept sponsored content, paid placement or free product.
We read everything that arrives. Questions that come up repeatedly become guides — several pages on this site started as an email from a stylist asking something we had not covered.
The fastest way to reach us is [email protected]. There is no contact form here, deliberately: forms mean scripts, scripts mean a slower page, and email works.
What we can help with
| Topic | What to send | Typical response |
|---|---|---|
| A correction | The page, the specific claim, and what it should say | Fixed within a few days, with the page date updated |
| A guide we have not written | The question, and why existing guides miss it | Added to the list; the most-asked ones get written |
| A technical question | What you cut, what you own, and what is going wrong | A direct answer, or a link to the guide that covers it |
| Something on the site that is broken | The page and what happened | Fixed as soon as we can reproduce it |
What we cannot help with
- Authenticating a specific shear from photographs. We cannot reliably tell a counterfeit from a genuine article remotely. A sharpener can, usually within minutes — that is the cheapest expert opinion available. Our counterfeit guide covers the checks you can do yourself.
- Order, delivery or warranty problems. We do not sell shears. Contact the retailer or the manufacturer.
- Medical questions. If you have hand, wrist or shoulder symptoms, see a clinician. We can tell you what handle geometry reduces load; we cannot tell you what is wrong.
- Paid placement, sponsored posts or link insertions. We do not accept them, at any price. Please do not ask.
For brands and manufacturers
Corrections to specifications, notice of discontinued or revised model lines, and updated technical documentation are all genuinely welcome and will be acted on quickly. Send them to the address above with the model and the specific detail that is wrong.
We do not accept sponsored content, paid reviews, guest posts, link exchanges or product placement. We also do not accept free product — not out of principle theatre, but because accepting it creates an obligation we would rather not have. See how we work.
Response times
This is a small operation. Corrections are usually acted on within a few days. General questions may take longer, and we cannot promise a reply to every message — but the ones that reveal a gap in the guides get answered, because they help everyone.
